Privacy Policy — DeepFrame

DeepFrame is a deep-sky astrophotography planner. It is designed to work without collecting your personal data.

Data we collect

None. DeepFrame does not collect, store on our servers, or share any personal data. There are no user accounts, no analytics, and no advertising or tracking SDKs.

Data that stays on your device

Everything you create or grant stays on your device, in the app's private storage: your observing sites, rigs, view settings and skyline calibrations; photos you import or capture for horizon masking; the imaging sessions and thumbnails you add; and your device location (only if granted) or any GPS/EXIF read from an imported photo. None of it is transmitted off your device.

Network use

The only network requests DeepFrame makes are to the public astronomy image service CDS (alasky.cds.unistra.fr) to fetch survey cutouts of catalogue objects. These carry only the sky coordinates (right ascension / declination) of the object being viewed — no personal information, no identifier, and no location.

Permissions

• Camera — only to photograph your local horizon for the 360° skyline feature. Images stay on device.
• Location (When In Use) — optional; only to prefill an observing site. The app works fully without it.
• Photo Library (Add) — only if you tap "Save to Photos" to export a panorama you captured.

Children

DeepFrame does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new date.
